111th Worshipful Master St. Mark’s Lodge No. 7 |
| Greeting to all Members of St. Mark’s Lodge No. 7,
Beginning all words by giving thanks to the Grand Architect of the Universe, who has blessed me with the opportunity to serve as the 111th Worshipful Master of St. Mark’s Lodge. It is with great honor and grace that I accept this distinguishing title and recognize that this is a blessing to serve as Worshipful Master of this great Lodge. My special thanks go out to all Past Masters, for their vote of confidence and support. I would also like to extend a special thanks to all the Lodge Officers 2008, for accepting the task of preserving the administration and great tradition of St. Mark’s Lodge No. 7. I want to personally thank Past Master’s David Murray and Darrell Womack for their support and guidance in making this transition as smooth as possible. The Mission Statement’s for 2008 will complement the 2007 statement and are: • Walking in the Light: I John 1: 5-7 and Love never Fails: I Corinthians 13:3 “This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is Light, and in him is no darkness at all. If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth. But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.” “And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing.” In essence Charity without love is nothing. Brothern, we are all aware of the challenges that this Lodge continues to face, however we have made great strides over the past several years. This is a testament to our mission statement, that if we continue to show our commitment by being faithful to the principles in which we practice and display sincere love and appreciation for Masonry. We will have fellowship with God and He will in turn bless this Great Lodge in 2008. Four Factors for Success. 1. Improve ourselves through others: By displaying the key principles of Masonry: Faith, Hope and Charity. It is these qualities displayed by all the great servant/leaders that made them unique. 2. Increase membership through stewardship: Leading by example and showing members that we are committed to serving our community. Thus making them even more proud to be a contributing member of St. Mark’s. 3. Honor our past: By utilizing and learning from the resources that we have available to make use better men, Masons and administrators of the Lodge. 4. Symbolism to realism: Continuing to be proficient in our works, also applying the lessons learned in our lectures, charges and symbolisms to improve ourselves and families. Additional Goals for 2008 include: • Visiting Lodges in and out of the district improve the positioning of St. Mark’s. • Improve the image of the Third District in the State by utilizing the Lamp. • More stewardship in the community. • Create a Lodge Newsletter |
