Since 1852

Over 160 years ago, St. Mark's Lodge No. 7 became the first Lodge of Prince Hall Free and Accepted Masons founded in Columbus, Ohio. Learn more about the men who were members of this historic institution and the impact they had on the Columbus and Masonic community.

From the first African-American to serve on the Columbus school board, to Alpha Hospital that was created to serve the African-American community, St. Mark's members have left their imprint on the community.​

St. Mark's is truly the home of Grand Masters! We have had five of our Brethren serve as the Most Worshipful Grand Master of the Most Worshipful Prince Hall Grand Lodge of Ohio. Learn more about these extraordinary men.
